Study at the edge of your screen
A thin bar on your Mac quizzes you from your own notes, a few cards at a time, until you know them by heart.
Your decks, ready to study
Drop in the Anki decks you already have, with their pictures, sound, maths and video, or write cards as fast as you can type: questions, cloze gaps, or hidden parts of a picture.
Nothing sneaks in
Every card shows the passage it came from. Keep it, edit it, or bin it, with one key each.
One piece attacking two or more enemy pieces at once.

A thin bar on the side of your screen glows when cards are due. Answer a few, and it tucks itself away. Try the one on the left of this page.
Your year, in squares
Every day you study lights a square. Keep the streak going and watch the year fill in.

Get Flashwell freeQuestions, answered
Where does Flashwell live on my screen?
At the top notch, or as a thin bar on the left or right edge. Hover it, or press ⌥Space, and it opens. It works on every Mac and every external display.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is free for everyone. You make a free account the first time you open Flashwell, and that's it.
Why do I need an account?
It keeps your decks, pictures, sounds and progress in step across your Macs, and lets you share decks and vote in the community.
I already have Anki decks.
Bring them. In Anki, choose File then Export, and drop the .apkg on the bar. Pictures, sound, maths, read-aloud and video come too, and you can export back any time.
Where is my data?
On your Mac, in a local database with automatic backups, and in step across your Macs through your account. Nothing is tracked, and nothing is sold.
